SMETA Certification Ethical and Responsible Commitment
Sedex Global Member and SMETA 4-PILLARS Certification
Our efforts are supported by SMETA certification, one of the world’s leading ethical audit programs, with over 280,000 companies audited globally.
The SMETA audit is based on four essential pillars: health and safety, labor standards, environment, and business ethics. Through this rigorous process, we continuously assess and improve our socio-environmental performance.
They are:
Health and Safety;
Labor Standards;
Environment;
Business Ethics.
By conducting a SMETA audit, an organization can demonstrate its commitment to responsible supply chain management and increase efficiency in sharing information with the production chain due to the reduction of duplicate audits from different clients.
Imballaggio has been a member of SEDEX GLOBAL since 2013 and has undergone three audit cycles conducted by the certification body SGS.

"Environmental - FSC® Certification"
Imballaggio takes pride in holding FSC® – FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL® certification. This certification is granted to companies in the cellulose matrix sector that demonstrate a commitment to the responsible production and use of forest-based products, prioritizing respect for people and the environment.
Since 2012, we have been an integral part of the Chain of Custody (CoC)* of the FSC® seal. This certification assures consumers that our products are manufactured with raw materials from certified or controlled-source forests, in accordance with FSC®’s international standards.
The Chain of Custody certification refers to all stages that occur after the extraction of wood from a certified forest operation, ensuring traceability and responsible use of natural resources.
